NJ Safe Schools - Rutgers University of Public Health offered a Cosmetology Safety and Health Workshop to County Prep senior cosmetology students this fall. The training is based on the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health's Youth @ Work Curriculum. The workshop covered topics such as common work injuries, hazard identification and control, emergency responses, job rights, infection control, chemical safety, and ergonomics. This training helps prepare young workers entering the field of cosmetology and work-based learning (WBL) placements. A Certificate of Participation was issued to each student upon completion of the program.
Thank you to Ms. Donofrio and her students for participating in this training.
