(Secaucus, NJ––March 10, 2022) Philp Swibinski, Chief Operating Officer at Vision Media Marketing Inc out of Secaucus, NJ, delivered a guest lecture to High Tech students as part of the CTE month celebration in February, announced Ms. Kathy Young, principal of High Tech High School.
Swibinksi, who is in charge of managing daily operations at Vision Media Marketing Inc (VMMI), described to students what it takes to run a public relations company such as theirs. Swibinksi was joined in his talk by VMMI account executive Grant Ludmer, who discussed how public relations firms work with local political campaigns, giving students an insider’s view to the field of public relations. The event was coordinated by Darson Hover, another account executive at VMMI, and HTHS television production teacher Gregg Ascolese.
Ms. Ascolese added, “We have a lot of guest speakers from the private sector giving seminars to our juniors and seniors. We feel the students benefit from hearing the real life experiences of professionals in their respective career areas.”
The students in attendance included those in Mr. Ascolese’s television production classes as well as a group of graphic design majors. According to Mr. Ascolese, the students showed a lot of interest in public relations with several expressing a desire to study public relations in college and others inquiring about internships with VMMI and other firms.
