The Science Department at County Prep/ATD ran the Summer STEM Camp this past summer for the second year in a row, and is running the STEM Club to give students interested in STEM more opportunities
for hands-on learning.
The Summer STEM Camp was a three-week program that was offered to all rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders.
It is designed to provide students with on-site exposure to various projects and opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
During the Summer 2022 session, students had the opportunity to gain experience in the fields of Engineering, Physics Lab Investigations, Neurobiology, Hydroponics, Forensic Science, Crime Scene Investigation, and Sustainable Farming!
Members of the STEM Club at County Prep/ATD explore the intricacies of the fields of STEM through a variety of experiments, fundraisers, and events over the course of the school year. Because of the hands-on experiences in this field, as well as in organizing and leadership, STEM Club proves to be strong in college applications! Empowering Women in STEM, the Women in STEM Club also works with female students to inspire students and highlight the importance of women in the fields of STEM.
