As Hudson County's VOCATIONAL Career and Technical Education (CTE) District, we celebrate February as National CTE Month.
We believe...
In strong community and familial bonds;
In supporting students of all ages to a college or career path;
In an academic pathway that supports student achievement in technical and high-level academic skills, equipping them to be lifelong, critical thinkers.
This Month
Our CTE Advisory Partners, skilled Instructors and supportive Administration have activities planned to highlight the uniqueness as a vocational school district. Please continue to share your students' success stories with the Apprenticeship/Internship Coordinator and the Office of the Superintendent. No success story is too small: send pictures, captions, workshops, projects to highlight how both CTE and Academics support our learners through their CTE journey.
Planning for the Future
Check the Department of Career Planning & Development's website for ways that you or other community partners can get involved.
Support the upcoming student presentations and performances in our district.
Encourage your students to visit the High School Career Centers @ EWBC and FJGC.
Join us on March 31st for the 2nd Annual Career Day! more info to follow
In addition, the HCST Foundation with help of our HCST Administrators plan to host a Student Showcase in June for our Families.
Visit The New Jersey Council of County Vocational-Technical Schools (NJCCVTS) website.
