Founded in 2003, the President's Volunteer Service Award recognizes the important role of volunteers in America's strength and national identity. The award honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action, too.
Aleena's award eligibility was certified through SkillsUSA. Aleena has been an outstanding officer and leader of SkillsUSA over the last three years and has been continuously involved in service projects; she won a state championship in 2021 in the Community Service category and competed in the SkillsUSA National Skills and Leadership Conference that year.
This year Aleena won an award for Career Prep Showcase for her group's project "Brushing Buddies" in the Health Care category, with the award certificate Aleena received a pin and a letter of congratulations from President Biden.
