(Somerset, NJ- May 2, 2015) Fifteen students from County Prep won medals at the SkillsUSA New Jersey State Championships at the Garden State Exhibition Center. The students won two gold medals, eight silver medals, five bronze medals in contests ranging from Medical Math to Photography to Internetworking.
Junior Chengru Long, a resident of Kearny, won a gold medal in Medical Math while Junior Jagdish Patel, a resident of Jersey City won a gold medal in Photography. The two gold medal winners will be advancing to the SkillsUSA National Championships on June 22nd-27th 2015, in Louisville, Kentucky.
Junior Pujan Thaker, a Jersey City resident, won a silver medal in Technical Computer Applications while Senior Dalia Eldeeb of Bayonne won a silver medal in Health Occupations Professional Portfolio. Juniors Andrew Levy of Hoboken and Iulian Cernatinschi of Jersey City won silver medals in Television (Video) Production and Dmitri Rodriguez , a Jersey City resident, won silver in Photography. In addition, Seniors Carmen Chen and Sabrina Ceballo along with Junior Briana Liu won silver in Career Pathways Showcase: Business Managment & Technology.
Seniors Yash Radia, a Jersey City resident, won a bronze medal in Internetworking and Timothy Koppisch of Hoboken won a bronze medal in Information Technology Services. Juniors Azhar Ali and Jeymmy Cuevas won a bronze medal in Digital Cinema Production along with Parth Patel, a Jersey City resident, who won a bronze medal in Technical Computer Applications.
