What is SchoolMessenger?
SchoolMessenger is a communication platform used to deliver important information about events, school closings, safety alerts, and other important information via email and text messages to mobile phones. SchoolMessenger is the main form of communication used by Hudson County Schools of Technology.
SchoolMessenger emails going straight to your junk mail?
If you find that you are not receiving SchoolMessenger emails from your child(ren)’s school(s), please check your junk mail folder. If the emails are going directly to your junk mail folder, please use the links below for instructions on how to mark these important emails as safe so you no longer risk missing any vital school information.
- How to Add Emails to Safe Sender List – Gmail
- Gmail Instructions:
- In the Spam folder, click on the email
- Select the 3 dots up top
- Select “Filter Messages Like These”
- The e-mail will appear in the field “From”, click Create Filter
- Click on the box for “Never Send to Spam” and click the “Create Filter” button on the button right of that box

Are you not receiving SchoolMessenger text messages?
- Sign into your PowerSchool Parent Portal account.
- Select the Contact Information tab on the left navigation.
- Verify your mobile phone number is listed in the “Cell Phone” field.
- Once verifying the above step, text Y to 67587 from your mobile device.
