High Tech High School is proud to announce that several of its students have been awarded the 9th Annual New York Tech Mini-Research Grant Award (MRGA 2026). Aarya Patel, Yug Patel, and Mohammed Gezzaz received $300 for their project, “Real-Time AI-Powered Low-Cost Pollen Sensor for Allergy Risk Monitoring”; Khanak Choksi and Pari Sawant earned $300 for “Robust Computer Vision for Dynamic Environments”; and Victoria Rich was awarded $300 for “Nutrient Deprivation Effect on Bacterial Growth and Competition”. The MRGA recognizes high school students whose STEM research projects demonstrate scientific merit and potential impact, providing funding to offset materials and presentation costs, while encouraging students to share their findings through posters and presentations. The school thanks their teachers, Arun Srivastava, Nina Lavlinskaia, and Stephanie Bartolotta, for their guidance and support in mentoring these outstanding student researchers.
