In an exciting venture, Dena Gorski’s junior and senior Cosmetology students embarked on a journey to the international Beauty Show in NYC this month, hosted by the Hudson County Schools of Technology. Amidst the bustling atmosphere of the Jacob Javits Center, students immersed themselves in the latest trends and cutting-edge techniques, garnering inspiration, education, and opportunities for hands-on shopping. Adding to the experience, High School Diploma intern, Marilyn Espinoza, alongside her mentor, the esteemed Ms. Marsha Augusto, joined the cohort, representing the Beauty within Hair Salon located on Central Avenue in Jersey City. Ms. Augusto, a long-standing community partner of HCST, graciously served as a chaperone for the event, facilitating Marilyn's integration into the professional world of cosmetology. Together, they seized the chance to procure various supplies for the salon, enhancing its offerings and enriching Marilyn's educational journey.
