We are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Arianna Graziani, a senior in Ms. Batista’s architecture class, who has been named a High School category winner in the AIA New Jersey 2026 Design Challenge.
Arianna’s innovative design stood out among submissions from across the state, earning recognition from a panel of professional architects and designers. As part of this honor, her work will be featured publicly during Architecture Week 2026, where it will be showcased alongside other top student projects focused on stadium and sports architecture.
Reflecting on her experience, Arianna shared, “I really enjoyed this design charrette; it pushed me to think freely and translate my ideas into something tangible.” Her words capture the essence of the competition encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and the ability to bring concepts to life through design.
In an official notification, Ronald C. Weston, Chairman of the AIA-NJ K-12 Committee, congratulated Arianna on her achievement, noting that her submission was selected by the 2026 Design Challenge judges as a top entry in her grade level.
This accomplishment highlights not only Arianna’s talent and dedication, but also the strength of the architectural program within Ms. Batista’s class, where students are encouraged to explore bold ideas and develop real-world design skills. Competitions like this provide meaningful opportunities for students to engage with the field of architecture while building confidence in their creative abilities.
We look forward to seeing Arianna’s work featured during Architecture Week and are excited to watch her continued growth as a young designer. In the fall, she will continue her studies at the Marywood University, where she plans to pursue a degree in architecture.
Congratulations, Arianna, on this well-deserved recognition!
