Intramural Sports at County Prep High School
By: Nofair Sawires (County Prep Student)
County Prep offers intramural sports as one of its after-school programs. The program provides activities such as weightlifting, soccer, basketball, and volleyball, ensuring that students can engage in a sport of their choice. This club enables students to interact with their peers and get their bodies moving, offering an opportunity to build muscles, boost self-esteem, and foster a sense of belonging. Thanks to Mr. Ehnstrom, County Prep can promote an active and healthy lifestyle.
Participating in intramural sports comes with various benefits, including the development of good sportsmanship and the ability to set personal goals. This program ensures a safe, supervised environment where trained instructors and coaches prioritize your safety. The facilities and equipment are meticulously maintained, contributing to good hygiene and preventing the spread of germs.
Engaging in these school gym activities imparts crucial life skills, such as discipline and time management. Additionally, school gym programs can enhance academic success by sharpening memory skills and improving focus, all while fostering new friendships.
All students interested in joining the program must obtain medical clearance from their doctors to ensure they are healthy and prepared for sports participation. Everyone is welcome to join, regardless of their current skill level. See you in the gym!
