yElevating Excellence: HTHS Touring Ensemble Performs for University Danceworks

On Monday, December 8, 2025, the HTHS Senior Dance Majors, Performance Division, in our newly launched Touring Ensemble had the exciting opportunity to visit Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. Students performed their touring repertoire for University Danceworks, Rutgers’ acclaimed touring dance company, and then participated in a professional feedback session with the collegiate dancers and faculty. This meaningful exchange offered our seniors invaluable insight into the expectations of university-level dance programs, strengthened their performance skills, and affirmed the caliber of training within the HTHS Dance Department. Veteran dance instructor Trista DeFilippis, commented, “The experience marked an important milestone for our Touring Ensemble and a powerful example of the real-world learning opportunities available to our students.”
