On Saturday, March 23rd, County Prep High School Senior Culinary Major, Forest Chen, showcased their culinary prowess at the Baking and Pastry Arts SkillsUSA State Competition. Here, competitors demonstrated their knowledge through scaling, mixing, preparing, and baking products as well as cake-decorating skills. Forest feels confident in their submission but will not know how they placed until April. County Prep Business Teacher and one of the SkillsUSA Advisors, Lauren Castagna, said Forest showed remarkable technical skills and a composed demeanor during the 4-hour-long intense competition.
