From 3D Printing to Hydroforming: County Prep Students Go Behind the Scenes at STS Aerospace

County Prep’s STEM Club visited STS Aerospace, a company that designs and manufactures aerospace components and leads the world in producing superior flexible hose and complex rigid assemblies, as well as providing certified overhaul and repair capabilities. Before entering the company floor, students learned important safety procedures. During the trip, students met a variety of engineers and toured the facility, where they observed processes such as welding, bending, X-ray imaging, pressure testing, product inspection, 3D printing, hydroforming, and more. They were very excited to learn about the process of making aerospace parts and the detail that goes into it.
