Connecting Classroom to Career: AV Students Attend NAB Show New York

On October 22nd, our Audio Visual Production juniors and seniors had the incredible opportunity to attend the NAB Show New York, one of the most influential events for media, entertainment, and technology professionals. The show brought together experts from television, film, radio, streaming, and digital media—offering our students a glimpse into the future of the industry they’re preparing to enter.

Throughout the day, students explored interactive exhibits featuring the latest advancements in broadcasting, cinematography, editing, and sound design. They tried out cutting-edge cameras, lighting rigs, and audio equipment, and learned how emerging technologies like virtual production and AI are transforming the creative process.

Students also attended live demos and panel discussions where industry professionals shared insights on careers in production, content creation, and media management. Many took advantage of the opportunity to network and ask questions about career paths and technical skills in demand today.

For our AV students, the experience was both inspiring and educational—connecting what they learn in the classroom to real-world innovations. The trip highlighted how their passion for storytelling and production can lead to exciting opportunities in the ever-evolving world of media and entertainment.
