County Prep’s Ethan J. O’Dell Shines at 2026 Auto Tech Challenge

On May 16, County Prep senior Ethan J. O’Dell, Music and Audio Technology Department, placed 3rd overall at the 2026 Universal Technical Institute Bloomfield Auto Tech Challenge and received $4000 towards his tuition. 

The UTI Bloomfield Campus hosts the annual Top Tech and Auto Tech challenges, where high school vocational students compete in both written exams and hands-on diagnostic tests for thousands of dollars in tuition scholarships. It is open to high school juniors and seniors enrolled in automotive or vocational technical programs.

The multi-stage event tests practical troubleshooting, diagnostic accuracy, and technical knowledge on modern vehicle systems, including engines and electrical networks. Congratulations, Ethan!
