February marks Career and Technical Education Month and HCST teachers are fondly remembering their former students who have succeeded in their chosen fields. County Prep High School Alumna Jinal Patel was recently highlighted in Career Tech NJ. Former HOSA moderator and Medical Science instructor Eileen Garrett says, "Jinal was always pleasant and kind. She worked extremely hard and was always willing to help out. She went above and beyond and had a thirst for knowledge, especially when it came to physical therapy and fitness. She would read and research on her own, not required for her assignments. She was a pleasure to work with." Current HOSA moderator and Psychology instructor Thurman Carey says, "She was as much of an intelligent and motivated young woman as you would expect her to have been. She was incredibly mature and had enormous empathy for others. She worked very hard, but she had a way about her that made it seem effortless. Her accomplishments are really a reflection of how amazing and dedicated she is as a person overall." The HCST Community thanks Jinal for her work during the pandemic.
