Workforce Development Board

The Hudson County/Jersey City Workforce Development Board (HC/JC WDB) is one of 17 WDBs in New Jersey and one of 550+ WDBs in the country. The WDB is mandated by federal law to be the lead organization in Hudson County and Jersey City for workforce planning, to cooperate with State officials in providing business with locally-validated labor market information, and to arrange for a service delivery system that meets the workforce needs of businesses and job-seekers.

The HC/JC WDB engages leaders from the private sector, public agencies, education, labor unions and community-based organization to inform Hudson County and Jersey City's workforce strategies and ensure that its efforts utilize the skilled workers of our community are aligned with employer demands.
